Celosia Flower Whole (Celosia cristata) is the dried, whole flower of the cockscomb plant, known for its vivid, crested blooms and a long history of traditional use in Asian and African herbal systems. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is called Ji Guan Hua (鸡冠花) and is recognized for its cooling, astringent, and blood-staunching properties.

Traditionally used to stop bleeding, particularly for hematochezia (bloody stools), hematuria (bloody urine), and uterine bleeding, Celosia Flower is considered especially helpful in cases of heat-related bleeding disorders. It also supports vision and eye health when used for redness or inflammation of the eyes due to liver heat rising.

Ji Guan Hua is often decocted as part of herbal formulas or infused into teas aimed at clearing heat from the blood, stopping excessive menstrual bleeding, and calming the liver. It is mildly bitter and cool in nature, and its energetic qualities are thought to enter the liver and large intestine channels.

Each batch of Celosia Flower Whole (Celosia cristata) is carefully dried to maintain the vibrant color and integrity of the blooms. It can be used in infusions, decoctions, or powdered into traditional herbal formulas, offering a gentle, cooling option for those looking to regulate blood and heat imbalances in the body.
