Digestive Bitters Tincture with Ginger, Fennel, and Dandelion

1 minute read

Bitters are the digestive system’s best friend, especially after rich meals. A good tincture of warming and stimulating herbs can help the body produce bile and enzymes, easing bloating and sluggishness. Combine one part Ginger Root Cut (shop), one part Dandelion Root Cut, and one part Fennel Seed Whole (shop) in a glass jar.

Pour in enough high-proof alcohol (80–100 proof) to cover the herbs by at least one inch. Label, date, and let steep for four to six weeks. Once strained, pour the extract into a dropper bottle. Take 10–15 drops in a small amount of water about 15 minutes before eating heavy or fatty meals.

The ginger promotes warmth and circulation, fennel relaxes the digestive tract, and dandelion supports liver function. Together, they make a balanced herbal digestive tonic that’s ideal for the holiday season.
