Fritillaria Bulb Whole (Fritillaria cirrhosa), known in Traditional Chinese Medicine as Chuan Bei Mu (川贝母), is a prized alpine herb used primarily to moisten the lungs, transform phlegm, and stop chronic cough. These whole bulbs are firm, white to pale beige, and naturally shaped like small, dense teardrops—reflecting the careful hand-harvesting and sun-drying methods used to preserve their integrity and potency.
Chuan Bei Mu is especially valued for treating dry or stubborn coughs associated with yin deficiency, including symptoms such as scanty or blood-streaked sputum, dryness in the throat, and hoarseness.
