Immune Support Tincture with Echinacea and Astragalus

1 minute read

A homemade immune tincture is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep your system strong through winter. This alcohol-based extract combines the power of Echinacea Root and Astragalus Root, two well-known adaptogenic herbs that support immune resilience and recovery.

To make it, fill a clean glass jar halfway with dried Echinacea Root Cut (shop) and Astragalus Root Slices (shop). Add 80-proof vodka or brandy until the herbs are completely covered, leaving an inch of liquid above them. Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place for four to six weeks, shaking gently every few days to keep the herbs moving.

After steeping, strain the mixture through cheesecloth and pour it into dark glass dropper bottles. Label and date each one. Take one dropperful (about 30 drops) in a small amount of water once or twice daily during cold weather. This tincture helps prime your immune response, especially when combined with rest and good nutrition.
