Cattail Pollen Powder (Typha spp.) is the dried, finely milled pollen of the cattail plant, a traditional herb valued in Chinese medicine and folk remedies for its blood-moving, hemostatic, and restorative properties. Known in TCM as Pu Huang, this golden powder has been used for centuries to stop bleeding, reduce pain, and invigorate circulation, making it an important herb for both internal and external applications.

In traditional practice, Cattail Pollen is regarded as a neutral and versatile substance that can both stop bleeding and promote blood flow, depending on how it is prepared. Raw Pu Huang is often used for internal or external bleeding (such as nosebleeds, uterine bleeding, or traumatic injuries), while fried Pu Huang is used more to invigorate blood, reduce pain, and relieve stagnation. It is also applied externally as a healing powder for wounds, burns, and sores.

Modern studies highlight the presence of flavonoids, polysaccharides, and micronutrients in Typha pollen, which are associated with anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, and tissue-healing effects. Research has explored its potential in supporting cardiovascular health, regulating blood flow, and enhancing wound recovery.

Each batch of Cattail Pollen Powder (Typha spp.) is carefully harvested and processed to retain its golden color, fine texture, and therapeutic potency. The powder can be used in teas, decoctions, herbal capsules, or topical applications, depending on traditional needs.

Note: Cattail Pollen is a strong blood-moving herb and should be used with caution during pregnancy or in individuals with bleeding disorders unless directed by a qualified practitioner.
