Siberian Cocklebur Herb Whole (Xanthium sibiricum) is the dried aerial part of the cocklebur plant, traditionally gathered while still green before seed maturation. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is known as Cang Er Cao (苍耳草) and is distinct from the commonly used fruit (Cang Er Zi), though it shares similar energetic properties.

This herb is valued for its ability to disperse wind, clear dampness, and alleviate nasal and sinus discomfort. While the seeds are better known for treating sinus congestion and rhinitis, the whole herb is sometimes used in folk medicine to target a broader range of wind-damp-related conditions, including headaches, skin eruptions, or joint stiffness.

Cang Er Cao has also been employed externally in poultices or washes for itchy skin, boils, or damp sores, leveraging its mildly drying and detoxifying properties. It may be used as part of seasonal tea blends to support respiratory clarity, but internal use should be approached with caution and guided by a qualified herbalist, as some parts of the plant can be toxic if misused.

Each batch of Siberian Cocklebur Herb Whole is carefully harvested and dried to preserve its characteristic strength and aroma. It can be decocted for short-term support in wind-cold or damp conditions, or prepared for external use in customized herbal formulas.
